Susana Seivane at Just for Gordon
Just for Gordon was a concert to mark the tenth anniversary of piping visionary Gordon Duncan’s passing. Duncan exerted an influence and left an indelible impression. With great success, Susana Seivane, played her native Galician bagpipe, the gaita, both capturing the soulfulness that Duncan exuded last sunday at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. Galicia’s Susana Seivane reflects his pioneering embrace of wider Celtic traditions. Other featured keepers of the flame include Ross Ainslie, Ali Hutton, Jarlath Henderson, Angus McColl, Allan MacDonald, Stewart Liddell, Duncan Chisholm, Julie Fowlis and the National Youth Pipe Band of Scotland.
